Be-Safe

The Be-Safe project (Belarusian Road Safety Network), funded by the European Commission within the TEMPUS program and coordinated by the CTL, proposed to harmonize university systems at european and world level. The goal was pursued by setting up Masters on road safety in four Belarusian Universities, the project partners: the Belarusian National Technical University, Belarusian State Economic University in Minsk, the Brest State Technical University of Brest and the Belarusian State University of Transport of Gomel. In addition, the project also involved the Loughborough University in the UK and the National Technical University of Athens greek.

The project is based on analyzes that highlight the need to strengthen, in Belarus, the role of scientific research in road safety management. For this reason, Be-Safe aims to transfer in the country, in cooperation with local universities, the latest knowledge and best practices in terms of road safety, involving different categories such as researchers, policy makers, students and large groups of the local population.
