LogON

Innovation in urban logistics as part of Industry 2015

Logon (Logistics Open Network) is an ambitious project of innovation and development on urban logistics conducted by a group of over thirty Italian companies in collaboration with Research Centers and Universities.

The project includes the study, development, testing and pilot testing of a complex and innovative service platform and components for logistics in urban areas. The objective is, in addition, the ambitious goal of integrating in the process of creation, optimization and execution of logistics services, engineering parameters supplied from the territory (for example in terms of sustainability, safety, rational mobility, interaction with tourists, and the needs of the city art), reconciling them with the economic needs of the operators and users.

The economic, scientific and technologic model proposed by the LOGON project is based on the choice of creating an OPEN, DYNAMIC and COLLABORATIVE system. The project aims to attract the stakeholders in the urban logistics process, inducing a virtuous economic cycle "contribute-> Enpower" that improves over time the quality of the overall system in terms of services offered, cost, environmental and territorial sustainability.

The project aims to contribute to the rationalization of urban logistics system, aggregating the virtuous, while reducing overall costs and expanding the economic base of the logistics market, drawing upon the available pockets of their account and vertical services.
